I’m so pleased to announce that one of my baskets was juried into the show “Twisting Fibers: An Art for All Reasons” presented by Art League Rhode Island. It’s running through May 8, 2019 in Pawtucket, RI. This is my first out of state juried exhibit!
Title: “Roswell Study | A” (because it looks a bit like a UFO when you look at it from the side). The jurors really seemed to like the bottom of this basket as I noticed in their exhibit photos that they displayed it upside down. That’s fine with me! I really love the way the bottoms of the baskets look too.
Material: 4 and 7 ply waxed flax linen thread.
Techniques: twining, reverse twining, 3 rod wale
