I wove this basket on and off over the course of a couple years. I figured out the pattern as I went, no drawing or planning. It was really just meant to be a fun test of what I could do with coiling.
The title is “For Carol W” because I gifted this one to my mother-in-law as a thank you for all her support. This piece was selected to travel with the “Dogwood to Kudzu” basketry exhibition by the Handweavers Guild of America.
