Twined, reverse twined, 2 rows of 3 rod wale at the rim. Lined most of the way down to make the interior wall.
Waxed Linen, 12 ply spokes, 7 ply weavers
I made “Purple Tower” with some of my favorite colors and also using heavier linen threads. This was my first basket using 12 ply spokes and 7 ply weavers. It makes the basket very stiff and strong but it also made it more difficult to weave.
The lining on this basket turned out great, it hugs the counters on the inside of the basket to make the interior wall.
It was shown in Albuquerque Museum’s “ArtsThrive 2023” exhibit and sale.
